B.Sc Renal Dialysis
ABOUT
Manjunatha College of Paramedical Sciences was established in the year 2018 with a yearly intake of 10 students and is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and permitted by Government of Karnataka. Apart from imparting quality education and clinical training. The course will provide students with a variety of innovative learning experiences that reflects current and emerging practices in education. The course will provide students with the skills to acquire, interpret, and apply the best available evidence in the provision of Clinical services.
INTRODUCTION
Dialysis technicians monitor and operate dialysis machinery, which removes waste and excess fluids from the blood of patients whose kidneys are no longer functioning properly. In addition to preparing patients and monitoring dialysis treatment, dialysis technicians also prepare post-treatment reports. They also work on protocols for equipment evaluation and training materials for patients and staff. Dialysis technicians generally work under a physician or nurse’s supervision, usually in a hospital, clinic or home-dialysis program.

B. Sc Renal Dialysis
ELIGIBILITY:
- Two year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study. OR
- Pre-Degree course from a recognized University considered as equivalent by RGUHS, (Two years after ten years of schooling) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study. OR
- Any equivalent examination recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore for the above purpose with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study. OR
- The vocational higher secondary education course conducted by Vocational Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala with five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in addition to vocational subjects conducted is considered equivalent to plus TWO examinations of Government of Karnataka Pre University Course. OR
- Lateral entry to second year- candidates who have passed diploma program in the same subjects from a recognized Government Board, approved by RGUHS.
COURSE CURRICULUM
Course Duration – 4 years (Including one-year Internship)
Attendance – The students should maintain 80% of attendance in Theory & Practical Separately.
Internship – 12-month compulsory rotational postings during which students have to work under the supervision of experienced staff.
